GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Public Workshops — Matthew Ford Consulting

These Terms and Conditions apply when you register for a public workshop offered by Matthew Ford Consulting.

Please read them before completing your registration.
By registering and paying for a workshop, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

 

  1. Booking and payment

Your place in the workshop is confirmed when full payment has been received and you receive a booking confirmation.

Workshop fees are shown on the website and are inclusive of GST.

Payment is made securely online through the payment provider available on the website.

If you are registering on behalf of another person, please make sure they are aware of these Terms and Conditions.

  1. If you need to cancel

I understand that circumstances change. If you need to cancel your registration, please email me at matthew@matthewford.com.au as soon as possible.

The following cancellation arrangements apply:

    • 10 or more calendar days before the workshop: 90% refund of the workshop fee.
    • 4–9 calendar days before the workshop: 50% refund of the workshop fee.
    • Less than 4 calendar days before the workshop: no refund.

These arrangements apply when you choose to cancel or are unable to attend. They do not affect any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

  1. Transferring your place

If you are unable to attend, you are welcome to transfer your place to a colleague at no additional cost.

Please email matthew@matthewford.com.au before the workshop with the name and contact details of the person who will be attending in your place.

  1. If I cancel or change the workshop

Occasionally, circumstances outside my reasonable control may require me to cancel or postpone a workshop, change its date or change the venue.

I will let registered participants know as soon as reasonably possible if this happens.

If I cancel the workshop, you will receive a full refund of the workshop fee you have paid.

If I postpone the workshop or make a significant change to the date or location and the revised arrangements do not suit you, you may cancel your registration and receive a full refund.

I am not responsible for travel, accommodation or other costs you may have incurred in connection with attending the workshop, except to the extent required by law.

  1. Attending the workshop

Please arrive in sufficient time for the workshop to begin as scheduled.

You are responsible for arranging and paying for your own travel and accommodation.

Participants are expected to behave respectfully towards other participants, the facilitator and venue staff, and to follow reasonable health, safety and venue requirements.

In the unlikely event that a participant’s behaviour seriously disrupts the workshop or creates a risk to other people, I may ask that person to leave. A refund would not normally be provided in these circumstances.

  1. Accessibility, dietary and other requirements

I want the workshop to be accessible and comfortable for participants.

If you have accessibility, dietary or other requirements that I should know about in making arrangements for the workshop, please provide this information during the registration process or email me at matthew@matthewford.com.au.

Please let me know as early as possible so that I have a reasonable opportunity to make appropriate arrangements.

  1. Privacy

I collect the personal information you provide during registration and the pre-workshop process so that I can administer and deliver the workshop, communicate with you about it, and tailor the workshop where appropriate to the needs of participants.

I will handle personal information in accordance with my Privacy Policy and applicable privacy law.

Information you provide about your workplace or collaboration challenge as part of the pre-workshop process will be used to help prepare for and facilitate the workshop. Please avoid including confidential or sensitive information about other people or organisations unless it is appropriate for you to do so.

  1. Workshop materials

Workshop materials provided to you are for your own professional and personal learning and use.

Unless otherwise indicated, copyright in workshop materials remains with Matthew Ford Consulting. You may use the materials within your own work, but please do not reproduce, publish, sell or distribute substantial parts of the materials commercially without my permission.

  1. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified, including rights available under the Australian Consumer Law.

Services supplied by Matthew Ford Consulting come with any consumer guarantees that apply under the Australian Consumer Law.
