Collaboration in Practice

Very few of us are ever taught how to become better collaborators.

We learn our profession. We build technical skills. We develop ways of managing projects, leading teams and solving problems. But collaboration itself is often left to chance.

And that’s a problem, because collaboration is not just communication or teamwork. It’s the work of understanding complex situations, making sense of different perspectives, thinking together, coordinating action and learning as circumstances change.

That’s the thinking behind Collaboration in Practice, a new one-day workshop I’ve developed for people who want to strengthen the way they work with others.

It’s designed around the real challenges people face at work. Each participant brings a genuine collaboration challenge, works with it throughout the day, and leaves with practical ways to think differently, act differently and test something useful back at work. The learning continues afterwards with an individual coaching session.

The first public workshop will be held in Brisbane on Friday 27 November 2026.
